About Us
Bhilai Malayala Grandhasala, popularly known as BMG, established in 1957 is one of the premier Socio-cultural organisations in the Steel City of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh State. Formally inaugurated in November 1957 by the eminent thinker, historian and constitutional expert Sardar K.M. Panicker on BMG occupies a prominent place in the social fabric of this Steel City.


BMG's library with more than 6000 books in Malayalam, Hindi and English languages, including many rare reference books, is one of the best in the region. Regular Kindergarten classes and annual coaching class to prepare students for admission to Class-1, which is being conducted for more than four decades, have received wide acceptance and appreciation from the people at large. Facilities for various Indoor games have been provided for members and their families.


Through Malayalam Mission, children of non-resident Keralites (NRKs) across the globe will be able to learn Malayalam through learning centers that will be set up with the help of Malayali organizations in different parts of the world. This mission helps our children be able to sustain the language and culture and to instill in them the pride of belonging to Kerala. As part of the Mission Bhilai Malayala Grandhasala (BMG) conducts Malayalam Padana Kendras at different locations through out Bhilai.
